Hello I just started in modeling and wondering what would be a good kit to start with, I like Star Trek so I want to build a starship but don't know which one to star with. Thanks

I'm also new to modelling and I'm very keen to do a 1/350 TOS Enterprise. BUT! I recognise I don't have the skills to do the model justice so I'm currently building a Revell Titanic 1/400 scale. I'm roughly half way through the model and I have learned a lot about modeling. I also decided to add lights to the model so I'm also getting some experience with light blocking and using an air brush etc etc. I'm very glad that I decided to build a model or two before attempting a magnificent Enterprise. Things that I have learnt: Air Brushing and how to prepare paints correctly Light Blocking Organising an effective work bench Identified additional tools that I will need for this level of modelling The importance of walking away when my patience is in decline Reading and following written instructions Masking the model for painting Preparing the painting surface Installing lights Soldering wires together for after market light kits My advice as one newbie to another, buy a few small models and just have a go. Then when you think you are ready have a look at You Tube and look at how the great modelers do their thing. You can't go past Star Fleet Model Academy or Trek Works!! These guys are always ready to help and if you look at their builds you will realise how talented they are!! All the best!!!!

Alan great reply, I could not have said it any better with the path your taking you'll be working on a Enterprise in no time. And welcome to the forum tell your friends about us, one of the hardest things to do is get a forum up and rinning, but hey you got to start some where.
