Hi Everyone Well I have been working on the TOS 1/350 Enterprise build for a month now so I thought I would post a few photo's. I am really enjoying the build and I try and find as much time as I can to work on but having to work for a living is a real bummer!!! hahahahaha So far I have done the light blocking, shuttle bay is almost done, bridge is installed and I have been working on the saucer lighting. As I said I'm really enjoying the build so I'm in no hurry. If you have any tips I'm more than happy to hear from you!!!!! Enjoy your modelling. Alan. Attachments:

Hey Alen Just wondered why you went with silver and not white for reflecting your light inside your ship, you will get a much more even lighting with white over the silver, also silver will slightly change the color of the LEDs. Some guy's think painting it silver is the same as putting foil inside, NOT TRUE! the silver will actually absorb some of the light and change the color of the LED.

Hi Wally
I chose silver based on a recommendation from other modelers when I was starting out and slowly gathering all the bits I need for this TOS project. When I saw your model and read your recommendations I seriously thought about going out and buying white gloss but my budget was all spent, make that budget plus was all spent. I will just put it down to another lesson in building models :-) I won't make the same mistake on my refit project!!

Great seeing my pic's on your web site!! Since taking the photos I have gone back and redone a few parts as I wasn't happy with my first result. I improved my shuttle craft and went back over the shuttle bay and added a few things. I also for the first time used magnet wire. That wire is fantastic!!!!!! I set up the lights for the bottom saucer in parallel and they worked first go!! The whole time I was doing the wiring and soldering I'm thinking this can't work the wire is not thick enough or it will short out when the wires touch each other. I followed the wiring plan you posted and it worked like a charm!!!! Thank you for the advice, very much appreciated!!!

Hi Everyone, well tonight I reached a small but really cool milestone with my TOS build. The saucer lighting, navigation lights, bridge and impulse engine lights were all turned on for the first time and the saucer top and bottom sealed together. I should add the top and bottom saucer are only taped together. :-) I have found a couple of minor light leaks which should be fairly easy to fix. I'm over the moon that my first attempt with a parallel light system and magnet wire has worked. Think I will go and have a cup of tea to celebrate!! hahahahaha

Hi Wally I have dried my eyes and taken a couple of pix of my TOS build. Very happy with the lights as I combined both Tena control and the Delux lighting kit plus the first time I have used magnet wire and a parallel wiring system (Thanks Wally). Anyway here they are:
